HELP!!

I'm: fried
The Noise: office noise
The Weather: sunny and HOT

Oh my god!!! I'm at work and the phones are ringing like crazy!! AND I'm the only one in the department right now who answers phones. Actually all day I'm the only one! My boss is on PTO today. Rochelle is on Jury Duty, and the other one is supposedly at a job interview up north. Our voicemail system is completely fried. So we have no automatic answering that people can just punch in the extension they want. All calls have to come through me. AND when I transfer to an extension, if the person is not there to pick up, their voicemail will not pick up because it's fried. SO, I have to take handwritten messages for everyone!!

Just like in the olden days. This day is total crap. It's actually not THAT bad. But it would be better if someone was here to back me up. I had to eat lunch answering phones. And the bathroom? Forget about it. There's no such thing as bathrooms today.

Yeah, that does sound like our old days, doesn't it? I'm so glad I'm finally out of the customer service area... my phone almost never rings anymore. Hope you can join that experience one of these fine days soon!
